The Congregation of the Sisters of the Cross of Chavanod is an international Apostolic Religious Institute of Pontifical Right, present in seventeen countries across four continents. Rooted in the Gospel values of love, compassion, and service, the Congregation reaches out to people on the margins with a spirit of care and solidarity.
The Guwahati Province is deeply committed to accompanying girls, young women, and marginalized persons on their journey toward dignity and fullness of life. Through its various ministries, the Province provides safe shelter and a nurturing environment for girls, young women, and LGBTQ+ persons, offers academic guidance and support to help them enter the mainstream education system, fosters self-reliance by imparting life skills, and extends compassionate healthcare services to women and children in slum areas and rural communities.
Guided by a preferential option for the vulnerable, the Sisters strive to be a healing and hopeful presence, empowering those they serve to rediscover their worth and live with confidence and hope.
